PATRIOT PLACE TO KICK OFF LABOR DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION WITH FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

Patriot Place’s free Fireworks Spectacular from July 3 has been rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 29, as part of an end of summer celebration over Labor Day Weekend.

Patriot Place is ending the summer with a bang as it kicks off Labor Day Weekend with a full lineup of activities and family-friendly entertainment, including a free Fireworks Spectacular on Friday, Aug. 29, at 8:30 p.m.

The fireworks show, rescheduled from July 3, will last for more than 20 minutes and be accompanied by a musical score available by tuning into Dean College Radio, Power 88 FM, at 88.3 FM, or streaming online at www.power883.org. Families can watch the free fireworks show from various venues inside Patriot Place’s North Marketplace or from the parking lots around Patriot Place.

Earlier in the day, and throughout Labor Day Weekend, Patriot Place will host free activities like bounce houses, sidewalk chalk, live music, appearances by the New England Patriots Cheerleaders and team’s mascot, Pat Patriot, balloon and caricature artists and more.

Celebrate Summer, Labor Day Weekend Schedule of Events

Friday, Aug. 29:

Bounce House (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.) – Bounce around all afternoon in one of Patriot Place’s bounce houses located outside of Red Robin.

Live Music Featuring Andrew Smith (4-6 p.m.) – Andrew Smith, a student at Berklee College of Music, will perform pop and jazz covers, as well as several original songs, on the Patriot Place stage located on the NRG Plaza outside of the Patriots ProShop.

Touch-A-Truck (4-6 p.m.) – Get up close to some of the neatest trucks around in lot 4A.

Pat Patriot & New England Patriots Cheerleaders Appearances (4-8 p.m.) – Stop by NRG Plaza for a great photo-op with Patriot Cheerleaders and the team’s mascot, Pat Patriot.

Balloon Artist (4-8 p.m.) – Hats, animals and everything in between. Patriot Place’s balloon artist, stationed at the NRG Plaza outside the Patriots ProShop, will create almost anything from balloons.  Bruce has been delighting the children of New England for more than 10 years with his creations.

Henna Tattoos (4-8 p.m.) – Patriot Place’s Henna artist, Mona, will make amazing henna tattoo designs for you out on the NRG Plaza outside of the Patriots ProShop.

Caricature Artist (4-8 p.m.) – Watch as Patriot Place’s talented caricature artist turns a blank piece of paper into an amazing firework scene with you in it! Station is located on the NRG Plaza outside of the Patriots ProShop.

Sidewalk Chalk (all weekend) – Color the NRG Plaza sidewalk outside of the Patriots ProShop with bright chalk colors all weekend long.

Back-to-School Shopping (all weekend) – Shop Patriot Place for all your back-to-school needs.

Live Music Featuring Howl at the Moon Entertainers at Splitsville Luxury Lanes (8 p.m.) – Come Howl at Splitsville Luxury Lanes and enjoy a high-energy show featuring dueling pianos, guitars and more. Howl at the Moon shows differ from other live entertainment concepts in that the audience dictates the show through its song request.

Live Music Featuring Adam Rice (6:30-8:30 p.m.) – Adam Rice, a Berklee-educated guitarist, will take the Patriot Place stage to entertain the crowd before the free Fireworks Spectacular show. Stage is located on the NRG Plaza outside of the Patriots ProShop.

Fireworks Spectacular (8:30 p.m.) – The display will last for more than 20 minutes and will be accompanied by a musical score available by tuning into Dean College Radio, Power 88 FM, at 88.3 FM, or streaming online atwww.power883.org. Live Music Featuring The Grand Central at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill (9:30 p.m.) – Celebrating 36 years in the entertainment business, The Grand Central is a six-piece band with a reputation of getting people to dance.

Saturday, Aug. 30

Sidewalk Chalk (all weekend) – Color the NRG Plaza sidewalk outside of the Patriots ProShop with bright chalk colors all weekend long.

Back-to-School Shopping (all weekend) – Shop Patriot Place for all your back-to-school needs.

UMass Football vs. Boston College at Gillette Stadium (3 p.m.) – UMass football kicks off its 2014 season when the Minutemen take on Boston College in the “Battle for the Bay State” at Gillette Stadium.

Live Music Featuring Howl at the Moon Entertainers at Splitsville Luxury Lanes (8 p.m.) – Come Howl at Splitsville Luxury Lanes and enjoy a high-energy show featuring dueling pianos, guitars and more. Howl at the Moon shows differ from other live entertainment concepts in that the audience dictates the show through its song request.

Live Music Featuring Tom Dixon at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill (9:30 p.m.) – With a unique combination of smooth country vocals and an explosive live performance, Nashville recording artist Tom Dixon has given birth to a new way of delivering that sweet country sound with a heart-pumping, foot-stomping beat that has been bringing audiences to their feet for years.

Sunday, Aug. 31
