Discovering The Joys Of The Irish Culture At Patriot Place Festival

The annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at Patriot Place featured live Irish music, step dancing performances and free family activities throughout the North Marketplace.

A rainy day did not stop Irish eyes from smiling during Patriot Place’s sixth annual Irish Festival on Saturday, March 14. The popular festival is annually one of the largest free events at Patriot Place and brings the joys of the Irish culture to Foxborough through live musical performances and free Irish-themed activities for children of all ages.

Devri, a Boston-based band with major ties to Ireland, headlined several live performances, including Irish step dancers from The Greene-O’Leary School of Needham, Mass., Westwood, Mass., Milton, Mass. and Dedham, Mass., the School of Irish dance of The Harney Academy of Walpole, Mass., the Dunleavy Shaffer School of Irish Dance of Norwell, Mass., and the Sullivan School of Irish Dance of Newton, Mass.

Throughout the festival, families also enjoyed face painting stations, a photo booth, a sheep petting area and more.
