COMMUNITY ANNOUNCMENT

Norwood, MA - Bring family and friends for a healthy, fun start to the day at Norwood Hospital’s 9thAnnual 4-Mile Road Race and Walk, Saturday, September 17, 2011. The race kicks off Norwood Day and will take place rain or shine.

Registration is 7:00 – 8:30 am at the front of the hospital, 800 Washington Street, Norwood. The adult race starts at 9:00 am and runs over a fun, residential course. The first 150 adult entrants will receive long-sleeve t-shirts and gift bags.

Adult entry fee is $25 before September 9 and $30 after. Running club entry fee is $20 per runner by September 9, with a minimum of 5 runners registered.

Registration forms are available by e-mail at NHRoadRace@Steward.org and the day of the race or by calling 781-278-6004.

Free Kids’ Fun Runs will be held before the start of the adult race. The races include a 50-yard dash for children up to age 6, at 8:30 am, and a race around the Bond Street loop for kids ages 7-12, starting at 8:45 a.m. Children must register the day of the race. All kids who enter the children’s races will receive t-shirts and medals.

Awards Ceremony  Cash awards will be offered to the top three male and female finishers overall. Medals will be presented to the top three males and females in several age categories. Music and refreshments provided. The race is USATF sanctioned.
