RUN FOR A CAUSE
This year marks Harvard Pilgrim’s 50th anniversary and 10th year as the title sponsor of the Finish at the 50. As part of the milestone, Harvard Pilgrim, the New England Patriots Foundation and Patriot Place have teamed up to support Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and donating specially adapted custom homes for severely injured post-9/11 veterans, as the beneficiary of this year’s races.

Harvard Pilgrim and the Patriots Foundation will present Homes For Our Troops with a $50,000 donation at the finish line inside Gillette Stadium on July 3 to help build a specially adapted custom home for a military veteran in the Merrimack Valley area of Massachusetts. Additionally, Patriot Place will donate a portion of the proceeds from each race entry toward the project.

RACES
The Kids Fun Run gives children ages 2-12 a chance to run a lap inside Gillette Stadium before finishing at the 50-yard line. Each participant will receive their choice of a Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50 superhero cape to wear or official race t-shirt. The 5K race is run completely on the Patriot Place campus and the 10K race includes both Patriot Place and Foxborough roads.

Both the 5K and 10K races end with fanfare as participants emerge onto the stadium turf from underneath the Patriots’ inflatable helmet to the cheers of the crowd as they charge toward the finish line. Participants are shown on the stadium’s video boards and their names are called over the stadium’s PA system as they cross the 50-yard line. Participants of both races will receive an official race t-shirt and a commemorative medal.

FIREWORKS
Following the conclusion of the 10K race, the annual fireworks show will cap the Finish at the 50 festivities in spectacular fashion with a 20-minute display beginning approximately at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks can be seen with Gillette Stadium as the backdrop throughout Patriot Place’s North Marketplace and parking lots. Parking is free for the event.
