Stewards of Children training To Be Offered

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Hockomock Area YMCA will be offering a Stewards
of Children child protection training on Tuesday evening, June 26th at the North
Attleboro Police Facility Community Room on 120 South Washington St. The training
will begin at 6:30 pm and conclude at 9:00 pm.

Stewards of Children is the only evidenced based child sexual prevention training
proven effective in educating adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child
sexual abuse.

The training is open to the public but requires advance registration as space is limited.

is $10.00 or is free to members of the Hockomock Area YMCA. Advance registration
required by June 22nd.

The Stewards of Children Training has been developed by Darkness to Light, a national
not for profit organization dedicated to preventing child sexual abused through the
education and raised awareness of adults. It has been shown that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6
boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18.
