Foxborough Residents Invited To Patriots’ Annual In- Stadium Practice On August 1

Foxborough residents are invited to watch the New England Patriots practice inside Gillette Stadium on Monday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m.

The New England Patriots popular in-stadium practice returns to Gillette Stadium for a 10 th consecutive season on Monday, Aug. 1, as part of a free evening of football that has become a summer tradition in Foxborough for fans and local residents alike.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. with the 2016 Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony for former running back and three-time Super Bowl champion Kevin Faulk on the NRG Plaza outside The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon and the Patriots ProShop. The ceremony is free and open to the public.

Then, at 7 p.m., the Patriots will again show their appreciation for their home town and loyal fans by welcoming Patriots Season Ticket Members, Foxborough and Walpole residents to watch the 2016 team practice under the lights inside Gillette Stadium. This event is closed to the general public.

The in-stadium practice includes detailed explanations of drills over the PA system and gives fans an opportunity to watch players go through numerous individual drills before participating in seven-on- seven and 11-on- 11 drills.

Patriots’ Season Ticket Members can find their complimentary tickets in their season ticket booklets while Foxborough residents can obtain tickets electronically by logging on to Ticketmaster through the following link to print tickets.

Additionally, Foxborough residents can pick up tickets at one of the following locations:

  • Boyden Library
  • Foxboro Council on Aging
  • Public Safety Building
  • Town Hall

Proof of Foxborough residency is required to obtain complimentary tickets at the above locations. Tickets will not be available at the Gillette Stadium Ticket Office.

CLEAR BAG POLICY IN EFFECT

Fans attending the in-stadium practice are reminded that bags larger than a small wristlet or handheld wallet will not be allowed inside Gillette Stadium, per the venue’s clear bag policy, which is in effect at all ticketed events. If carrying a bag into the stadium is necessary, there are two options: a clear plastic bag the size of a 1 gallon Ziploc bag or a small wristlet or handheld wallet not exceeding 8” x 5” x 2” (approximately the size of a hand).

Please note that bags larger than the permitted size, including purses, shoulder bags, diaper bags and backpacks, will not be allowed inside Gillette Stadium on event day. Further, bags exceeding the permitted size will not be held or stored by the venue and must be returned to a vehicle before entering the stadium. Prohibited items at Gillette Stadium include, but are not limited to: selfie sticks, GoPro cameras, camera bags, umbrellas, coolers, fanny packs, outside food and beverage, balloons or beach balls, noisemakers, signs larger than 11 x 17 and any other items deemed dangerous and/or inappropriate by stadium management. OPENING WEEK OF PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP

In addition to the annual in-stadium practice and hall of fame induction ceremony, Patriots training camp opens Wednesday, July 27, with the first public practice scheduled for Thursday, July 28, at 9:15 a.m. on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium. The Patriots will practice at 9:15 a.m. for the first four days of camp (Thursday, July 28 to Sunday, July 31). The daily practice sessions are free and open to the public.

Following the morning practices, the Patriots Fan Zone is tentatively scheduled to run through Aug. 16.

The practice schedule throughout training camp is tentative and subject to change. Fans who plan to attend practices are encouraged to check the Patriots website, www.patriots.com/trainingcamp for daily updates. There is also a training camp hotline for fans to call, 508-549- 0001.

  1. The practice should be open to all (the in stadium one) ridiculous its only for season ticket people and residents.

    they should have some more ticketed practices for the public that are IN STADIUM under the lights
