Charlie Masison In Conversation with Guest Dave Clifton following taping of the final episode of Behind the Scenes
Foxboro Cable Access, its staff and volunteers extends congratulations and best wishes to Charlie Masison at the taping of the final episode of his “Behind the Scenes” talk show this week. Deputy Fire Chief Steve Bagley, Firefighter Paramedic Jim Grenier, Dave Clifton and Paul Gookin discussed the importance of CPR training and their personal experiences in life-saving situations. Begun in early 2001, “Behind the Scenes” is the longest continually running series in FCA history with approximately 600 shows in the archives. The programs provide an excellent collection of community history featuring guests from town government, community organizations and many other walks of life speaking about events and issues of interest to community residents.

Masison expressed his thanks and appreciation to the many crew volunteers, especially longtime director Paul Godin, who have worked behind the scenes on “Behind the Scenes.” Over the eleven years the series was in production, 40 FCA volunteers operated cameras, audio and graphics equipment, and contributed lighting, set design and directing skills to achieve high technical standards. Hundreds of local residents and regional personalities were featured as guests. After the show, the crew surprised Charlie and his wife Pat with a cake and refreshments in FCA’s newly constructed Conference Room. “This is the first opportunity to use our new facilities for a celebration, and especially meaningful that it’s for Charlie because his many years of service as a producer have been so important to Foxboro Cable Access and also to the wider community.” said FCA’s Executive Director Michael Webber.

Foxborough residents are invited to stop by FCA’s newly renovated studio located in the center of town at 28 Central Street to tour the facilities and learn more about public access television and the free training opportunities that are available.
