COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
The Hockomock Area YMCA will be offering Stewards of Children child protection trainings on Thursday evening, January 24th and Thursday evening, February 7th at the Foxborough Public Safety Building on 8 Chestnut Street in Foxborough, MA. The trainings will begin at 6:30 pm and conclude at 8:00 pm.
Stewards of Children is the only evidenced based child sexual prevention training proven effective in educating adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
These trainings are offered free of charge by the Hockomock Area YMCA. Registration however, is required 24 hours in advance of each training as space is limited. To Register contact Tony Calcia at 508-643-5226 or at tonyc@hockymca.org.
The Stewards of Children Training has been developed by Darkness to Light, a national not for profit organization dedicated to preventing child sexual abused through the education and raised awareness of adults. It has been shown that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18.
