YMCA Announces LIVESTRONG classes starting in January

Hockomock Area YMCA Announces LIVESTRONG at the YMCA classes starting in January. Research shows that physical activity can decrease recurrence and increase survivorship for cancer patients.

Since 2010, The HockomockArea YMCA has been facilitating the LIVESTRONG at theYMCA program and they are pleased to announce new classes for 2019.  

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free 12-week program designed for cancer survivors and their families seeking to regain health, build strength, and connect with other cancer survivors. Our goal is to help participants build muscle mass and muscle strength, increase flexibility and endurance, and improve functional ability. Certified YMCA fitness instructors give personal individualized instruction and are trained in the elements of cancer, post rehab exercise, nutrition, and supportive cancer care.

New Classes Announced for LIVESTRONG at the YMCA at the Hockomock Y in January:  


Bernon Family (Franklin) Branch

Monday & Wednesdays, 11:00am-12:30pm beginning January 7th
Monday& Wednesday, 6:00pm-7:30 pm, beginning on January 7th


Invensys Foxboro Branch
67 Mechanic Street

Tuesday & Thursday, 10:30am-12:00pm beginning January 8th  
Tuesday & Thursday, 6:00pm-7:30 pm beginning January 8th  


North Attleboro Branch

Monday & Wednesday, 12:00pm-1:30 pm beginning January7th
