Autism is one of three autism spectrum disorders, along with Asperger Syndrome and Pervasive Development Disorder not otherwise specified, that include a group of developmental disabilities that cause social, behavioral, and communication challenges for those affected. Autism can occur in all racial, ethnic and social groups, and is four times more likely to affect boys than girls. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control estimates that an average of one in 110 children in the United States has an autism spectrum disorder.

Foxboro Reporter: Verizon, local cable now connected

FCA Channels are now available on the Verizon FiOS Network

Pressure from loyal Foxboro Cable Access viewers may have been a factor in Verizon’s quick hookup of FCA to Verizon’s fiberoptic network.

“We’re excited that Verizon FIOS hooked us up so quickly,” FCA executive director Michael Webber said. “The process from FCA’s standpoint was quick and smooth and we’re real happy with the relationship that’s been established.”

Foxboro Cable Access channels became available on Verizon FIOS last week — in one-third the required time under Verizon’s new cable license with the town.
