The Foxborough Police Department will be a participating collection site during the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. This National event allows residents to dispose of old and unused drugs safely. Drugs that will be accepted include prescription and over-the-counter medication in all forms (pills, creams, liquids, etc.), as well as veterinary medications. NO thermometers will be accepted. The collection will occur on April 28, 2018 from 10am until 2pm inside the McGinty Room at the Foxborough Public Safety Building. Medication should be left in their original container “blacking” out any personal information on the label, but keeping the name of the medication and dosage visible. Visit www.deatakeback.com for more information on this event. In conjunction with this event, the Foxborough Board of Health will also be collecting sharps (needles, lancets, etc.). These sharps must be brought in a sealed sharps container. This sharps collection is available in Foxborough ONLY and is not related to the Take Back program.
Not available on April 28th? The Foxborough Police Department has a year-round drug disposal kiosk located in the lobby of the Foxborough Public Safety Building, disposal restrictions associated with this kiosk do apply.
