Foxboro Cable Access will hold its annual meetings for 2015 on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in the studios at 28 Central Street. The Annual Meeting of the Membership begins at 7:00 pm and will include the presentation of the Annual Report for 2015, the FY 2016 Budget, and the election of four directors. All paid subscribers to the town’s cable services are considered to be members of the Foxboro Cable Access corporation and are eligible to vote if they present a current bill from Comcast or Verizon. Following the Annual Meeting of the Membership, the Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors will be held at 7:30 pm.

Find out what community television is all about and how you can get involved. In this hour long session participants will learn about the mission of FCA and steps to becoming a volunteer crew member or production.
Attendees will learn about the mission and history of FCA, steps to become a volunteer crew member, and how you can start your own show. This is one of the best ways to become involved with FCA.
Learn the basics of Final Cut Pro X, Apple’s powerful and user-friendly video editing software. In this three-week workshop participants will learn everything you need to know to get started, including: importing, exporting, organizing and the basics of editing your footage.
This three week workshop is available free-of-charge to all Foxborough Residents. No previous experience is required.
A program featuring the recently deceased former Foxboro resident Carol Elledge in two special piano performances will be shown this weekend on the Public Channel (Comcast 8 / Verizon 39). Foxboro Cable Access volunteer Paul Beck has compiled the program, entitled “A Tribute to the Memory of Everard and Carol Elledge,” from two separate recordings made over thirty years ago.In the first performance, Carol plays a one hour solo concert at St. Mark’s Church for the Re-Dedication of the Steinway Grand Piano which was donated to the church by her late husband Everard. In the other performance, she plays Rhapsody in Blue with the Civic Symphony Orchestra of Boston in 1990.
The FCA Program Schedule lists the premiere showing on Friday, November 21st at 9:30 pm, and subsequent showings Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm and Sunday and Monday at 2 am and 11 am. It will also be included in the Video Gallery of the FCA website www.fcatv.org and can be viewed there anytime. The Foxboro Mansfield football rivalry goes back decades and since 1983 the games have been videotaped by Foxboro Cable Access volunteers – rain, shine, snow or freezing temperatures – and shown on the local public access channels. Beginning on Sunday (November 23rd) a marathon playback of those prior years’ games has been scheduled for the viewing pleasure of the Foxborough community … and, via the worldwide web, their friends and family .
