MBTA Commuter Rail and Keolis to Run Special Event Train Service to New England Patriots Home Games All Season Long
For $20 per round-trip ticket, fans can take the train to Patriots home games all season long
Special event train tickets for Aug. 13 preseason opener on sale now exclusively via the mTicket app; tickets for regular season games will be available for purchase beginning at 11 a.m. on the Monday before each game exclusively via the mTicket app
The MBTA Commuter Rail and Keolis will be providing round-trip, special event train service to New England Patriots home games all season long. Service will be provided from Boston only for the two home preseason games, and from both Boston and Providence for games throughout the regular season.
Round-trip special event train tickets are $20 each and are on sale for the Aug. 13 preseason game now exclusively via the mTicket app. Special event train tickets for regular season games will go on sale via the mTicket app beginning at 11 a.m. on the Monday before each home game (i.e. special event train tickets for the Sept. 20 game will go on sale Monday, Sept. 14 at 11 a.m.). Please note: special event train tickets for the Aug. 22 preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 14 and special event train tickets for the Dec. 10 Thursday Night Football Game against the Minnesota Vikings will go on sale at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3.
Boston special event trains will depart from South Station with stops at Back Bay and Dedham Corporate Center before arriving at Foxboro Station. Providence special event trains will depart from Providence Station and make stops at Pawtucket/Central Falls, Attleboro and Mansfield before arriving at Foxboro Station. The complete schedule for each game can be found at mbta.com/destinations/gillette-stadium, but each special event train is projected to arrive in Foxborough approximately one hour to 90 minutes before kick-off and will depart Foxboro Station 30 minutes after the game ends.
Tickets for each special event train will be sold separately and need to be purchased for the correct corresponding game and station of origin (Boston or Providence). Due to anticipated high demand, no refunds or exchanges will be available. Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding the event train. All passengers, including children 11 and under, must have a ticket to board the train. Please note: These are special event trains and ticket sales will be stopped once the maximum capacity is reached. Regular Commuter Rail tickets and passes are not valid for special event trains. Fans choosing to travel to Gillette Stadium for the Aug. 13 preseason game or Dec. 10 regular season game via the Foxboro Station weekday Commuter Rail service will not be able to return to Boston following the conclusion of the game via the special event train without purchasing a corresponding special event train ticket. The last Foxboro Station weekday Commuter Rail train departs for Boston at 10:49 p.m., while the special event trains will depart 30 minutes following the conclusion of each game. Riders are also reminded that any prohibited items that do not comply with the stadium’s Clear Bag Policy will not be permitted on the train and no personal items may be left on the trains during the game.
