FCA Scholarship Applications Now Available

2016 FCA Scholarship ApplicationFoxboro Cable Access continues to encourage higher education in the Communications Field by offering a $1000 scholarship annually. Any Foxboro resident is eligible to apply if they are pursuing a college degree in this field.

Applications are available at the FCA Studio at 28 Central Street, Foxborough High School Guidance Office, The Boyden Library, Town Hall and can also be downloaded from the link below.

Completed applications must be returned to the FCA studio by the deadline of Friday, May 20, 2016

Un-Common Theatre Offers Two Scholarships for High School Seniors

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Un-Common Theatre Company is currently accepting applications for two $500 college scholarships.

The first $500 scholarship will be awarded to a Mansfield High School 2012 graduate.  This scholarship is offered each year in appreciation for the Town of Mansfield’s support of The Un-Common Theatre Co in allowing use of their school facilities.

The second $500 scholarship will be awarded to an Un-Common Theatre Company Alumni who will be graduating from high school in 2012.  In order to qualify, the alumni must have participated in any aspect of an Un-Common Theatre Company production including acting, directing, technical or musical assistance.

The applicants for the 2012 scholarships must meet the following requirements:  involvement in music or theatre 3 out of 4 years during their high school years, an interest in pursuing music or theatre in the future, and continuation of education at an accredited 2 or 4 year institution.   The added requirement of past participation with Un-Common Theatre Company applies to the Alumni Scholarship.

Applications are available at www.uncommontheatre.org – click on NEWS.  The Mansfield High School Scholarship application is also available at the MHS guidance office.  For additional information, please email uncommontheatre@verizon.net.  In order to be considered, all applications must be returned by email or postmarked by April 15th.

This year the Un-Common Theatre Company is celebrating our 32nd year of teaching kids life skills through the professional theatre experience.  Un-Common is one of the only children’s theater companies in New England that provides aspiring young actors, singers, musicians, and technicians an opportunity to work under the guidance of theater professionals and perform in professional theater houses.
